  1. But lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, And tempted God in the desert.

  10. They angered him also at the waters of Meribah, So that it went ill with Moses for their sakes;

  11. They did not destroy the peoples, As Jehovah commanded them,

  12. Therefore was the wrath of Jehovah kindled against his people, And he abhorred his inheritance.

  13. And he gave them into the hand of the nations; And they that hated them ruled over them.

  14. Many times did he deliver them; But they were rebellious in their counsel, And were brought low in their iniquity.

  15. Nevertheless he regarded their distress, When he heard their cry:

  16. And he remembered for them his covenant, And repented according to the multitude of his lovingkindnesses.

  17. Save us, O Jehovah our God, And gather us from among the nations, To give thanks unto thy holy name, And to triumph in thy praise.

  18. Blessed be Jehovah, the God of Israel, From everlasting even to everlasting. And let all the people say, Amen. Praise ye Jehovah.

  19. O give thanks unto Jehovah; for he is good; For his lovingkindness endureth for ever.

  20. Let the redeemed of Jehovah sayso, Whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the adversary,

  21. Then they cried unto Jehovah in their trouble, And he delivered them out of their distresses,

  22. He led them also by a straight way, That they might go to a city of habitation.

  23. Oh that men would praise Jehovah for his lovingkindness, And for his wonderful works to the children of men!

  24. For he satisfieth the longing soul, And the hungry soul he filleth with good.

  25. Because they rebelled against the words of God, And contemned the counsel of the Most High:
