Bible Verses About The Stars
Key Bible Verses
God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of sky to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs to mark seasons, days, and years;
God made the two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. He also made the stars.
God set them in the expanse of sky to give light to the earth,
The LORD brought him outside, and said, “Look now toward the sky, and count the stars, if you are able to count them.” He said to Abram, “So will your seed be.”
I see him, but not now. I see him, but not near. A star will come out of Jacob. A scepter will rise out of Israel, and shall strike through the corners of Moab, and break down all the sons of Sheth.
and lest you lift up your eyes to the sky, and when you see the sun and the moon and the stars, even all the army of the sky, you are drawn away and worship them, and serve them, which the LORD your God has allotted to all the peoples under the whole sky.
If there is found in your midst, within any of your gates which the LORD your God gives you, a man or woman who does that which is evil in the sight of the LORD your God, in transgressing his covenant,
and has gone and served other gods, and worshiped them, or the sun, or the moon, or any of the stars of the sky, which I have not commanded;
and you are told, and you have heard of it, then you shall inquire diligently. Behold, if it is true, and the thing certain, that such abomination is done in Israel,
then you shall bring out that man or that woman, who has done this evil thing, to your gates, even that same man or woman; and you shall stone them to death with stones.
At the mouth of two witnesses, or three witnesses, he who is to die shall be put to death. At the mouth of one witness he shall not be put to death.
The hand of the witnesses shall be first on him to put him to death, and afterward the hand of all the people. So you shall remove the evil from your midst.
From the sky the stars fought. From their courses, they fought against Sisera.
He put down the idolatrous priests, whom the kings of Judah had ordained to burn incense in the high places in the cities of Judah, and in the places around Jerusalem; those also who burned incense to Baal, to the sun, and to the moon, and to the planets, and to all the army of the sky.
So we worked in the work: and half of them held the spears from the rising of the morning until the stars appeared.
Let the stars of its twilight be dark. Let it look for light, but have none, neither let it see the eyelids of the morning,
He commands the sun, and it doesn’t rise, and seals up the stars.
He makes the Bear, Orion, and the Pleiades, and the rooms of the south.
Behold, even the moon has no brightness, and the stars are not pure in his sight;
when the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?
“Can you bind the cluster of the Pleiades, or loosen the cords of Orion?
Can you lead the constellations out in their season? Or can you guide the Bear with her cubs?
When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have ordained;
The moon and stars to rule by night; for his loving kindness endures forever:
He counts the number of the stars. He calls them all by their names.
