  1. ¶ And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.

  2. And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.

  3. Lest there should be among you man, or woman, or family, or tribe, whose heart turneth away this day from the LORD our God, to go and serve the gods of these nations; lest there should be among you a root that beareth gall and wormwood;

  8. For thou writest bitter things against me, and makest me to possess the iniquities of my youth.

  10. Destroy thou them, O God; let them fall by their own counsels; cast them out in the multitude of their transgressions; for they have rebelled against thee.

  11. The heathen are sunk down in the pit that they made: in the net which they hid is their own foot taken.

  12. The LORD is known by the judgment which he executeth: the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. Higgaion. Selah.

  13. The wicked in his pride doth persecute the poor: let them be taken in the devices that they have imagined.

  14. And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yea, the LORD our God shall cut them off.

  15. Let the wicked fall into their own nets, whilst that I withal escape.

  16. Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices.

  17. The wise shall inherit glory: but shame shall be the promotion of fools.

  18. His own iniquities shall take the wicked himself, and he shall be holden with the cords of his sins.

  19. He shall die without instruction; and in the greatness of his folly he shall go astray.

  20. But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death.

  21. ¶ The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: but the desire of the righteous shall be granted.

  22. ¶ The way of the LORD is strength to the upright: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity.

  23. The righteous shall never be removed: but the wicked shall not inhabit the earth.

  24. ¶ The mouth of the just bringeth forth wisdom: but the froward tongue shall be cut out.

  25. ¶ The righteousness of the perfect shall direct his way: but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness.
