  1. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

  2. But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;

  3. And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;

  4. The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,

  13. ¶ He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none.

  14. Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground?

  15. And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it:

  16. And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.

  17. What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?

  18. And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing.

  19. And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost.

  20. I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.

  21. ¶ And he said, A certain man had two sons:

  22. And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living.

  23. And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living.

  24. And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want.

  25. And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine.
