  1. The Lord did not set his loue vpon you, nor chose you, because ye were more in number then any people: for ye were the fewest of all people:

  2. But because the Lord loued you, and because hee would keepe the othe which hee had sworne vnto your fathers, the Lord hath brought you out by a mightie hand, and deliuered you out of the house of bondage from the hand of Pharaoh King of Egypt,

  3. For they be thy people, and thine inheritance, which thou broughtest out of Egypt from the middes of the yron fornace.

  4. Let thine eyes be open vnto the prayer of thy seruant, and vnto the prayer of thy people Israel, to hearken vnto them, in all that they call for vnto thee.

  9. Euen when we were dead by sinnes, hath quickened vs together in Christ, by whose grace ye are saued,

  10. But when that bountifulnesse and that loue of God our Sauiour toward man appeared,

  11. Not by the woorkes of righteousnesse, which we had done, but according to his mercie he saued vs, by the washing of the newe birth, and the renewing of the holy Ghost,

  12. Hee that loueth not, knoweth not God: for God is loue.

  13. Herein was that loue of God made manifest amongst vs, because God sent that his onely begotten sonne into this world, that we might liue through him.

  14. Herein is that loue, not that we loued God, but that he loued vs, and sent his Sonne to be a reconciliation for our sinnes.

  15. No man hath seene God at any time. If we loue one another, God dwelleth in vs, and his loue is perfect in vs.

  16. Hereby know we, that we dwell in him, and he in vs: because he hath giuen vs of his Spirit.

  17. Whosoeuer confesseth that Iesus is the Sone of God, in him dwelleth God, and he in God.

  18. And we haue knowen, and beleeued ye loue that God hath in vs. God is loue, and he that dwelleth in loue, dwelleth in God, and God in him.
