  1. That no man should be moved in these tribulations: for yourselves know that we are appointed thereunto.

  12. Having therefore a great high priest that hath passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God: let us hold fast our confession.

  13. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering (for he is faithful that hath promised):

  14. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea, which is moved and carried about by the wind.

  15. Therefore let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.

  16. A double minded man is inconstant in all his ways.

  17. Every best gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no change nor shadow of alteration.

  18. Who, by the power of God, are kept by faith unto salvation, ready to be revealed in the last time.

  19. Whom resist ye, strong in faith: knowing that the same affliction befalls, your brethren who are in the world.

  20. These are fountains without water and clouds tossed with whirlwinds, to whom the mist of darkness is reserved.

  21. Dearly beloved, taking all care to write unto you concerning your common salvation, I was under a necessity to write unto you: to beseech you to contend earnestly for the faith once delivered to the saints.

  22. These are spots in their banquets, feasting together without fear, feeding themselves: clouds without water, which are carried about by winds: trees of the autumn, unfruitful, twice dead, plucked up by the roots:

  23. Now to him who is able to preserve you without sin and to present you spotless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, in the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:

  24. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of the testimony: and they loved not their lives unto death.
