Bible Verses About Resurrection
Key Bible Verses
Yeshua said to them, “In this age, men and women marry;
but those judged worthy of the age to come, and of resurrection from the dead, do not get married,
because they can no longer die. Being children of the Resurrection, they are like angels; indeed, they are children of God.
“But even Moshe showed that the dead are raised; for in the passage about the bush, he calls Adonai ‘the God of Avraham, the God of Yitz’chak and the God of Ya‘akov.’
Now he is not God of the dead, but of the living — to him all are alive.”
Just as the Father raises the dead and makes them alive, so too the Son makes alive anyone he wants.
Yes, indeed! I tell you that there is coming a time — in fact, it’s already here — when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who listen will come to life.
Don’t be surprised at this; because the time is coming when all who are in the grave will hear his voice
and come out — those who have done good to a resurrection of life, and those who have done evil to a resurrection of judgment.
And this is the will of the One who sent me: that I should not lose any of all those he has given me but should raise them up on the Last Day.
Yes, this is the will of my Father: that all who see the Son and trust in him should have eternal life, and that I should raise them up on the Last Day.”
No one can come to me unless the Father — the One who sent me — draws him. And I will raise him up on the Last Day.
Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life — that is, I will raise him up on the Last Day.
Yeshua said to her, “Your brother will rise again.”
Marta said, “I know that he will rise again at the Resurrection on the Last Day.”
Yeshua said to her, “I AM the Resurrection and the Life! Whoever puts his trust in me will live, even if he dies;
In just a little while, the world will no longer see me; but you will see me. Because I live, you too will live.
For this reason, my heart was glad; and my tongue rejoiced; and now my body too will live on in the certain hope
that you will not abandon me to Sh’ol or let your Holy One see decay.
You have made known to me the ways of life; you will fill me with joy by your presence.’
“Brothers, I know I can say to you frankly that the patriarch David died and was buried — his tomb is with us to this day.
Therefore, since he was a prophet and knew that God had sworn an oath to him that one of his descendants would sit on his throne,
he was speaking in advance about the resurrection of the Messiah, that it was he who was not abandoned in Sh’ol and whose flesh did not see decay.
Kefa and Yochanan were still speaking to the people when the cohanim, the captain in charge of the Temple police, and the Tz’dukim came upon them,
very annoyed that they were teaching the people the doctrine of resurrection from the dead and offering Yeshua as proof.
