He believed in the LORD; and he reckoned it to him for righteousness.
Be it far from you to do things like that, to kill the righteous with the wicked, so that the righteous should be like the wicked. May that be far from you. Shouldn’t the Judge of all the earth do right?”
So my righteousness will answer for me hereafter, when you come concerning my hire that is before you. Every one that is not speckled and spotted among the goats, and black among the sheep, that might be with me, will be counted stolen.”
“‘You shall do no injustice in judgment. You shall not be partial to the poor, nor show favoritism to the great; but you shall judge your neighbor in righteousness.
Who can count the dust of Jacob, or number the fourth part of Israel? Let me die the death of the righteous! Let my last end be like his!”
It shall be righteousness to us, if we observe to do all this commandment before the LORD our God, as he has commanded us.”
Not for your righteousness, or for the uprightness of your heart, do you go in to possess their land; but for the wickedness of these nations the LORD your God does drive them out from before you, and that he may establish the word which the LORD swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.
Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest said to the children of Reuben, to the children of Gad, and to the children of Manasseh, “Today we know that the LORD is in the midst of us, because you have not committed this trespass against the LORD. Now you have delivered the children of Israel out of the hand of the LORD.”
The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness. He rewarded me according to the cleanness of my hands.
Solomon said, “You have shown to your servant David my father great loving kindness, according as he walked before you in truth, and in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with you. You have kept for him this great loving kindness, that you have given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day.
What is man, that he should be clean? What is he who is born of a woman, that he should be righteous?
Yet shall the righteous hold on his way. He who has clean hands shall grow stronger and stronger.
I put on righteousness, and it clothed me. My justice was as a robe and a diadem.
He prays to God, and he is favorable to him, so that he sees his face with joy. He restores to man his righteousness.
He doesn’t withdraw his eyes from the righteous, but with kings on the throne, he sets them forever, and they are exalted.
but his delight is in the LORD’s law. On his Torah he meditates day and night.
He will be like a tree planted by the streams of water, that produces its fruit in its season, whose leaf also does not wither. Whatever he does shall prosper.
Therefore the wicked shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
For the LORD knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked shall perish.
Offer the sacrifices of righteousness. Put your trust in the LORD.
For you will bless the righteous. LORD, you will surround him with favor as with a shield.
The LORD examines the righteous, but the wicked and him who loves violence his soul hates.
For the LORD is righteous. He loves righteousness. The upright shall see his face.
They have all gone aside. They have together become corrupt. There is no one who does good, no, not one.
LORD, who shall dwell in your sanctuary? Who shall live on your holy hill?
