  1. Moses alone shall come near to the LORD, but they shall not come near, neither shall the people go up with him.”

  7. and he shall put the incense on the fire before the LORD, that the cloud of the incense may cover the mercy seat that is on the testimony, so that he will not die.

  8. He shall take some of the blood of the bull, and sprinkle it with his finger on the mercy seat on the east; and before the mercy seat he shall sprinkle some of the blood with his finger seven times.

  9. “Then he shall kill the goat of the sin offering, that is for the people, and bring his blood within the veil, and do with his blood as he did with the blood of the bull, and sprinkle it on the mercy seat, and before the mercy seat.

  10. For what great nation is there, that has a god so near to them, as the LORD our God is whenever we call on him?

  11. LORD, who shall dwell in your sanctuary? Who shall live on your holy hill?

  12. You will show me the path of life. In your presence is fullness of joy. In your right hand there are pleasures forever more.

  13. Surely goodness and loving kindness shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the LORD’s house forever.

  14. Who may ascend to the LORD’s hill? Who may stand in his holy place?

  15. He who has clean hands and a pure heart; who has not lifted up his soul to falsehood, and has not sworn deceitfully.

  16. One thing I have asked of the LORD, that I will seek after, that I may dwell in the LORD’s house all the days of my life, to see the LORD’s beauty, and to inquire in his temple.

  19. Oh, send out your light and your truth. Let them lead me. Let them bring me to your holy hill, To your tents.

  20. Blessed is one whom you choose, and cause to come near, that he may live in your courts. We will be filled with the goodness of your house, your holy temple.

  21. But it is good for me to come close to God. I have made the Lord the LORD my refuge, that I may tell of all your works.
