  1. Thou shalt neither vex a stranger, nor oppress him: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.

  16. If I did despise the cause of my manservant or of my maidservant, when they contended with me;

  17. What then shall I do when God riseth up? and when he visiteth, what shall I answer him?

  18. Did not he that made me in the womb make him? and did not one fashion us in the womb?

  19. It is not for kings, O Lemuel, it is not for kings to drink wine; nor for princes strong drink:

  20. Lest they drink, and forget the law, and pervert the judgment of any of the afflicted.

  21. Thus saith the LORD; Execute ye judgment and righteousness, and deliver the spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor: and do no wrong, do no violence to the stranger, the fatherless, nor the widow, neither shed innocent blood in this place.

  22. For if ye do this thing indeed, then shall there enter in by the gates of this house kings sitting upon the throne of David, riding in chariots and on horses, he, and his servants, and his people.

  23. But if ye will not hear these words, I swear by myself, saith the LORD, that this house shall become a desolation.

  24. To crush under his feet all the prisoners of the earth,
