  1. Hath not mine hand made all these things?

  2. Nowe the place of the Scripture which he read, was this, Hee was lead as a sheepe to the slaughter: and like a lambe domme before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth.

  11. That the residue of men might seeke after the Lord, and all the Gentiles vpon whom my Name is called, saith the Lord which doeth all these things.

  12. Then sayd Paul, I knewe not, brethren, that he was the hie Priest: for it is written, Thou shalt not speake euill of the ruler of thy people.

  13. Therefore when they agreed not among themselues, they departed, after that Paul had spoken one word, to wit, Well spake the holy Ghost by Esaias the Prophet vnto our fathers,

  14. Saying, Goe vnto this people, and say, By hearing ye shall heare, and shall not vnderstand, and seeing ye shall see, and not perceiue.

  15. For the heart of this people is waxed fatte, and their eares are dull of hearing, and with their eyes haue they winked, least they shoulde see with their eyes, and heare with their eares, and vnderstand with their heartes, and should returne that I might heale them.

  16. For by it the righteousnesse of God is reueiled from faith to faith: as it is written, The iust shall liue by faith.

  17. For ye Name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written.

  18. God forbid: yea, let God be true, and euery man a lyar, as it is written, That thou mightest be iustified in thy words, and ouercome, when thou art iudged.

  19. As it is written, There is none righteous, no not one.

  20. There is none that vnderstandeth: there is none that seeketh God.

  21. They haue all gone out of the way: they haue bene made altogether vnprofitable: there is none that doeth good, no not one.

  22. Their throte is an open sepulchre: they haue vsed their tongues to deceit: the poyson of aspes is vnder their lippes.

  23. Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitternesse.

  24. Their feete are swift to shead blood.
