  1. But into the second, the high priest alone, once a year: not without blood, which he offereth for his own and the people's ignorance:

  2. The Holy Ghost signifying this: That the way into the Holies was not yet made manifest, whilst the former tabernacle was yet standing.

  3. Which is a parable of the time present: according to which gifts and sacrifices are offered, which cannot, as to the conscience, make him perfect that serveth, only in meats and in drinks,

  8. It is necessary therefore that the patterns of heavenly things should be cleansed with these: but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.

  9. For Jesus is not entered into the Holies made with hands, the patterns of the true: but into Heaven itself, that he may appear now in the presence of God for us.

  10. Having therefore, brethren, a confidence in the entering into the holies by the blood of Christ:

  11. A new and living way which he hath dedicated for us through the veil, that is to say, his flesh:

  12. But I think it meet, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting you in remembrance.

  13. And the temple of God was opened in heaven: and the ark of his testament was seen in his temple. And there were lightnings and voices and an earthquake and great hail.

  14. And I, John, saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

  15. And I heard a great voice from the throne, saying: Behold the tabernacle of God with men: and he will dwell with them. And they shall be his people: and God himself with them shall be their God.
