Bible Verses About Oppression
Key Bible Verses
And I will come to you in judgment, and will be a speedy witness against sorcerers, and adulterers, and false swearers, and them that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widows, and the fatherless: and oppress the stranger, and have not feared me, saith the Lord of hosts.
Saying: The scribes and the Pharisees have sitten on the chair of Moses.

For they bind heavy and insupportable burdens and lay them on men's shoulders: but with a finger of their own they will not move them.
And the nation which they shall serve will I judge (said the Lord): and after these things they shall go out and shall serve me in this place.
But you have dishonoured the poor man. Do not the rich oppress you by might? And do not they draw you before the judgment seats?
Behold the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which by fraud has been kept back by you, crieth: and the cry of them hath entered into the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth.
And the angels who kept not their principality but forsook their own habitation, he hath reserved under darkness in everlasting chains, unto the judgment of the great day.
As Sodom and Gomorrha and the neighbouring cities, in like manner, having given themselves to fornication and going after other flesh, were made an example, suffering the punishment of eternal fire.
In like manner, these men also defile the flesh and despise dominion and blaspheme majesty.
But these men blaspheme whatever things they know not: and what things soever they naturally know, like dumb beasts, in these they are corrupted.
