Woe to him that buildeth up his house by injustice, and his chambers not in judgment: that will oppress his friend without cause, and will not pay him his wages.
And the servant of a certain centurion who was dear to him, being sick, was ready to die.
And when he had heard of Jesus, he sent unto him the ancients of the Jews, desiring him to come and heal his servant.
A religious man, and fearing God with all his house, giving much alms to the people and always praying to God.
And you, masters, do the same things to them, forbearing threatenings: knowing that the Lord both of them and you is in heaven. And there is no respect of persons with him.
Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh: not serving to the eye, as pleasing men: but in simplicity of heart, fearing God.
Masters, do to your servants that which is just and equal: knowing that you also have a master in heaven.
Not now as a servant, but instead of a servant, a most dear brother, especially to me. But how much more to thee, both in the flesh and in the Lord?
Behold the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which by fraud has been kept back by you, crieth: and the cry of them hath entered into the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth.
Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear, not only to the good and gentle but also to the froward.
