  1. Then the LORD said to Moses,

  2. And you are to tell the Israelites, ‘If anyone curses his God, he shall bear the consequences of his sin.

  3. Whoever blasphemes the name of the LORD must surely be put to death; the whole assembly must surely stone him, whether he is a foreign resident or native; if he blasphemes the Name, he must be put to death.

  4. You are to have the same standard of law for the foreign resident and the native; for I am the LORD your God.’”

  5. Then Moses spoke to the Israelites, and they took the blasphemer outside the camp and stoned him. So the Israelites did as the LORD had commanded Moses.

  6. Then the LORD said to Moses on Mount Sinai,

  7. “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: When you enter the land that I am giving you, the land itself must observe a Sabbath to the LORD.

  8. But in the seventh year there shall be a Sabbath of complete rest for the land—a Sabbath to the LORD. You are not to sow your field or prune your vineyard.

  9. Do not take advantage of each other, but fear your God; for I am the LORD your God.

  10. You are to keep My statutes and carefully observe My judgments, so that you may dwell securely in the land.

  11. But I will send My blessing upon you in the sixth year, so that the land will yield a crop sufficient for three years.

  12. The land must not be sold permanently, because it is Mine, and you are but foreigners and residents with Me.

  13. Do not take any interest or profit from him, but fear your God, that your countryman may live among you.

  14. I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt to give you the land of Canaan and to be your God.

  15. Because the Israelites are My servants, whom I brought out of the land of Egypt, they are not to be sold as slaves.

  16. You are not to rule over them harshly, but you shall fear your God.

  17. For the Israelites are My servants. They are My servants, whom I brought out of the land of Egypt. I am the LORD your God.

  18. “You must not make idols for yourselves or set up a carved image or sacred pillar; you must not place a sculpted stone in your land to bow down to it. For I am the LORD your God.

  19. You must keep My Sabbaths and have reverence for My sanctuary. I am the LORD.

  20. If you follow My statutes and carefully keep My commandments,

  21. I will give you rains in their season, and the land will yield its produce, and the trees of the field will bear their fruit.

  22. And I will give peace to the land, and you will lie down with nothing to fear. I will rid the land of dangerous animals, and no sword will pass through your land.

  23. I will turn toward you and make you fruitful and multiply you, and I will establish My covenant with you.

  24. And I will make My dwelling place among you, and My soul will not despise you.

  25. I will walk among you and be your God, and you will be My people.
