  1. Ye shall not steal; neither shall ye deal falsely, nor lie one to another.

  2. And ye shall not swear by my name falsely, and profane the name of thy God: I am Jehovah.

  3. If an unrighteous witness rise up against any man to testify against him of wrong-doing,

  4. then both the men, between whom the controversy is, shall stand before Jehovah, before the priests and the judges that shall be in those days;

  5. and the judges shall make diligent inquisition: and, behold, if the witness be a false witness, and have testified falsely against his brother;

  6. then shall ye do unto him, as he had thought to do unto his brother: so shalt thou put away the evil from the midst of thee.

  7. And those that remain shall hear, and fear, and shall henceforth commit no more any such evil in the midst of thee.

  8. There are six things which Jehovah hateth; Yea, seven which are an abomination unto him:

  9. Haughty eyes, a lying tongue, And hands that shed innocent blood;

  10. A heart that deviseth wicked purposes, Feet that are swift in running to mischief,

  11. A false witness that uttereth lies, And he that soweth discord among brethren.

  12. Then said he unto me, This is the curse that goeth forth over the face of the whole land: for every one that stealeth shall be cut off on the one side according to it; and every one that sweareth shall be cut off on the other side according to it.

  13. I will cause it to go forth, saith Jehovah of hosts, and it shall enter into the house of the thief, and into the house of him that sweareth falsely by my name; and it shall abide in the midst of his house, and shall consume it with the timber thereof and the stones thereof.

  14. as knowing this, that law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and unruly, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,

  15. for fornicators, for abusers of themselves with men, for menstealers, for liars, for false swearers, and if there be any other thing contrary to the sound doctrine;
