  1. And these shall go away to punishment age-during, but the righteous to life age-during.'

  11. and he who, not having known, and having done things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few; and to every one to whom much was given, much shall be required from him; and to whom they did commit much, more abundantly they will ask of him.

  12. because every one who is exalting himself shall be humbled, and he who is humbling himself shall be exalted.'

  13. and in the hades having lifted up his eyes, being in torments, he doth see Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom,

  14. and having cried, he said, Father Abraham, deal kindly with me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and may cool my tongue, because I am distressed in this flame.

  15. `And Abraham said, Child, remember that thou did receive--thou--thy good things in thy life, and Lazarus in like manner the evil things, and now he is comforted, and thou art distressed;

  16. and besides all these things, between us and you a great chasm is fixed, so that they who are willing to go over from hence unto you are not able, nor do they from thence to us pass through.

  17. he who is believing in the Son, hath life age-during; and he who is not believing the Son, shall not see life, but the wrath of God doth remain upon him.'

  18. and they shall come forth; those who did the good things to a rising again of life, and those who practised the evil things to a rising again of judgment.

  19. And, according as they did not approve of having God in knowledge, God gave them up to a disapproved mind, to do the things not seemly;

  20. but, according to thy hardness and impenitent heart, thou dost treasure up to thyself wrath, in a day of wrath and of the revelation of the righteous judgment of God,

  21. who shall render to each according to his works;

  22. tribulation and distress, upon every soul of man that is working the evil, both of Jew first, and of Greek;

  23. in the day when God shall judge the secrets of men, according to my good news, through Jesus Christ.

  24. because of this, even as through one man the sin did enter into the world, and through the sin the death; and thus to all men the death did pass through, for that all did sin;

  25. for till law sin was in the world: and sin is not reckoned when there is not law;
