  1. Whom God hath proposed to be a propitiation, through faith in his blood, to the shewing of his justice, for the remission of former sins,

  2. Being justified therefore by faith, let us have peace with God, through our Lord Jesus Christ:

  3. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son: much more, being reconciled, shall we be saved by his life.

  4. And not only so: but also we glory in God, through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received reconciliation.

  5. But all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Christ and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation.

  6. For God indeed was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, not imputing to them their sins. And he hath placed in us the word of reconciliation.

  7. And through him to reconcile all things unto himself, making peace through the blood of his cross, both as to the things that are on earth and the things that are in heaven.

  8. And you, whereas you were some time alienated and enemies in mind in evil works:

  9. Yet now he hath reconciled in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unspotted and blameless before him:

  10. And over it were the cherubims of glory overshadowing the propitiatory: of which it is not needful to speak now particularly.

  11. And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world.

  12. In this is charity: not as though we had loved God, but because he hath first loved us, and sent his Son to be a propitiation for our sins.
