  1. whom God set forth to be a propitiation, through faith, in his blood, to show his righteousness because of the passing over of the sins done aforetime, in the forbearance of God;

  2. Being therefore justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ;

  3. For if, while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, shall we be saved by his life;

  4. and not only so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.

  5. But all things are of God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ, and gave unto us the ministry of reconciliation;

  8. And you, being in time past alienated and enemies in your mind in your evil works,

  9. yet now hath he reconciled in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and without blemish and unreproveable before him:

  10. and above it cherubim of glory overshadowing the mercy-seat; of which things we cannot now speak severally.

  11. and he is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for the whole world.

  12. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
