Bible Verses About Duty Toward The Afflicted: To comfort them

I would comfort you also with words, and would wag my head over you.

If I had a mind to go to them, I sat first, and when I sat as a king, with his army standing about him, yet I was a comforter of them that mourned.

Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we also may be able to comfort them who are in all distress, by the exhortation wherewith we also are exhorted by God.

Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
