But Saul made havock of the church, entering in from house to house: and dragging away men and women, committed them to prison.

They therefore that were dispersed went about preaching the word of God.

Now they who had been dispersed by the persecution that arose on occasion of Stephen went about as far as Phenice and Cyprus and Antioch, speaking the word to none, but to the Jews only.

But some of them were men of Cyprus and Cyrene, who, when they were entered into Antioch, spoke also to the Greeks, preaching the Lord Jesus.

And the hand of he Lord was with them: and a great number believing, were converted to the Lord.

Now, brethren, I desire you should know that the things which have happened to me have fallen out rather to the furtherance of the gospel:

Wherein I labour even unto bands, as an evildoer. But the word of God is not bound.

Therefore I endure all things for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus, with heavenly glory.
