Psalms128

This psalm declares the blessedness of those who fear the LORD and walk in His ways. Such individuals are promised prosperity from their labor, a fruitful family with many children, and a long life. Furthermore, they will receive blessings from Zion, witness the good of Jerusalem, and see peace upon Israel.

The Blessings of Fearing the Lord

A song of ascents: How happy is everyone who fears ADONAI, who lives by his ways. ​

You will eat what your hands have produced; you will be happy and prosperous. ​

Prosperity in Home and Family

Your wife will be like a fruitful vine in the inner parts of your house. Your children around the table will be like shoots from an olive tree. ​

This is the kind of blessing that will fall on him who fears ADONAI.

Blessings from Zion and for Israel

May ADONAI bless you from Tziyon! May you see Yerushalayim prosper all the days of your life, ​
