  9. Who knows? He may turn and relent and leave a blessing behind Him— grain and drink offerings for the LORD your God.

  10. I will get up and go back to my father and say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you.

  11. I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants.”’

  12. So he got up and went to his father. But while he was still in the distance, his father saw him and was filled with compassion. He ran to his son, embraced him, and kissed him.
