  1. For He established a testimony in Jacob and appointed a law in Israel, which He commanded our fathers to teach to their children,

  3. that they should put their confidence in God, not forgetting His works, but keeping His commandments.

  13. But if we hope for what we do not yet see, we wait for it patiently.

  14. Thus by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope set before us may be strongly encouraged.
