  1. And God said, “Let the waters teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth in the open expanse of the sky.”

  2. So God created the great sea creatures and every living thing that moves, with which the waters teemed according to their kinds, and every bird of flight after its kind. And God saw that it was good.

  3. Then God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the waters of the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.”

  4. The fear and dread of you will fall on every living creature on the earth, every bird of the air, every creature that crawls on the ground, and all the fish of the sea. They are delivered into your hand.

  5. Everything that lives and moves will be food for you; just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you all things.

  6. Of all the creatures that live in the water, whether in the seas or in the streams, you may eat anything with fins and scales.

  7. But the following among all the teeming life and creatures in the water are detestable to you: everything in the seas or streams that does not have fins and scales.

  8. They shall be an abomination to you; you must not eat their meat, and you must detest their carcasses.

  9. Everything in the water that does not have fins and scales shall be detestable to you.

  10. Of all the creatures that live in the water, you may eat anything with fins and scales,

  11. but you may not eat anything that does not have fins and scales; it is unclean for you.

  12. Wherever the river flows, there will be swarms of living creatures and a great number of fish, because it flows there and makes the waters fresh; so wherever the river flows, everything will flourish.

  13. Fishermen will stand by the shore; from En-gedi to En-eglaim they will spread their nets to catch fish of many kinds, like the fish of the Great Sea.

  14. When they landed, they saw a charcoal fire there with fish on it, and some bread.

  15. Jesus told them, “Bring some of the fish you have just caught.”

  16. So Simon Peter went aboard and dragged the net ashore. It was full of large fish, 153, but even with so many, the net was not torn.

  17. “Come, have breakfast,” Jesus said to them. None of the disciples dared to ask Him, “Who are You?” They knew it was the Lord.

  18. Jesus came and took the bread and gave it to them, and He did the same with the fish.
