Bible Verses About Reproof: God gives reproof to his own children

I will be his father, and he shall be my son. If he commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men:

¶ Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty:

¶ Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O LORD, and teachest him out of thy law;

¶ Before I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept thy word.

¶ It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes.

¶ I know, O LORD, that thy judgments are right, and that thou in faithfulness hast afflicted me.

For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
