Therefore the LORD will cut off from Israel head and tail, branch and rush, in one day.
¶ A gift in secret pacifieth anger: and a reward in the bosom strong wrath.

¶ He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
Thou shalt not wrest judgment; thou shalt not respect persons, neither take a gift: for a gift doth blind the eyes of the wise, and pervert the words of the righteous.
