  1. God also said: let the waters bring forth the creeping creature having life, and the fowl that may fly over the earth under the firmament of heaven.

  2. And God created the great whales, and every living and moving creature, which the waters brought forth, according to their kinds, and every winged fowl according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.

  3. And he blessed them, saying: Increase and multiply, and fill the waters of the sea: and let the birds be multiplied upon the earth.

  4. And let the fear and dread of you be upon all the beasts of the earth, and upon all the fowls of the air, and all that move upon the earth: all the fishes of the sea are delivered into your hand.

  5. And every thing that moveth, and liveth shall be meat for you: even as the green herbs have I delivered them all to you:

  6. These are the things that breed in the waters, and which it is lawful to eat. All that hath fins, and scales, as well in the sea, as in the rivers, and the pools, you shall eat.

  7. But whatsoever hath not fins and scales, of those things that move and live in the waters, shall be an abomination to you,

  8. And detestable. Their flesh you shall not eat: and their carcasses you shall avoid.

  9. All that have not fins and scales, in the waters, shall be unclean.

  10. These shall you eat of all that abide in the waters: All that have fins and scales, you shall eat.

  11. Such as are without fins and scales, you shall not eat, because they are unclean.

  12. And every living creature that creepeth whithersoever the torrent shall come, shall live: and there shall be fishes in abundance after these waters shall come thither, and they shall be healed, and all things shall live to which the torrent shall come.

  13. And the fishers shall stand over these waters, from Engaddi even to Engallim there shall be drying of nets: there shall be many sorts of the fishes thereof, as the fishes of the great sea, a very great multitude:

  14. As soon then as they came to land they saw hot coals lying, and a fish laid thereon, and bread.

  15. Jesus saith to them: Bring hither of the fishes which you have now caught.

  16. Simon Peter went up and drew the net to land, full of great fishes, one hundred and fifty-three. And although there were so many, the net was not broken.

  17. Jesus saith to them: Come and dine. And none of them who were at meat, durst ask him: Who art thou? Knowing that it was the Lord.

  18. And Jesus cometh and taketh bread and giveth them: and fish in like manner.
