എങ്കിലും ഞാൻ ചെകിടനെപ്പോലെ കേൾക്കാതെ ഇരുന്നു; വായ്തുറക്കാതെ ഊമനെപ്പോലെ ആയിരുന്നു.

ഞാൻ, കേൾക്കാത്ത മനുഷ്യനെപ്പോലെയും വായിൽ പ്രതിവാദമില്ലാത്തവനെപ്പോലെയും ആയിരുന്നു.
